Gannett CEO Craig Dubow: USA Today iPad App to Remain Free Through 3Q

<img alt="USATodayiPad.jpg" src="/webnewser/files/original/USATodayiPad.jpg" width="300" height="190" class="alignleft" vspace=6 hspace=3 /Gannett CEO Craig Dubow said during the company’s second-quarter earnings call that its iPad app for USA Today would remain free-of-charge and ad-supported at least through the third quarter of this year, paidContent reported.

Dubow also said USA Today apps for the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and Android platforms have been downloaded more than 5 million times over the past 18 months, adding that three companies signed on as sponsors for the iPad app: Coca-Cola, Chrysler, and Barnes & Noble, according to paidContent.
