German DJ Goes Viral With Hilarious Videos Poking Fun At The English Language

Flula Borg is a German DJ, a hiphop and techno musician, hypeman and host and, most recently, he is a popular vlogger who has achieved YouTube fame over the last few weeks thanks to a series of videos in which he rips on the English language.  Known as DJFlula on YouTube, Flula Borg has ranted about why the daddy long legs has such a ridiculous name, why the idiom ‘Like shooting fish in a barrel” doesn’t make sense, and most recently, why Rock, Paper, Scissors doesn’t work.  The videos are simply hilarious and we just couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share them with you.

Before we get to the videos, let’s learn a little bit about Flula.  He writes on his website, “I am a Musician and Artist from Erlangen in Germany, living now in Los Angeles.  The world is full of Inspirings for my Art, and my mission in life is to spread my Musik and Energie to a World, like a big waters balloon exploding and touching all the peoples with cold and refresh water.  I soak up all Inspirings in the world like a Sponge, and this does help me to Create Flula Things.”  And now onto a few of those “Flula Things”…the videos!

The first Flula Borg video that I saw was ‘Daddy Long Legs, Who Did Name You?’ in which Flula brings up the great question of why the heck the daddy long legs is named daddy long legs.

About a week ago, Flula asked the question, “Shooting Fish In The Barrel, Why Is It That?”  Barrels are from 18-something…where can you even get a barrel these days?  Check out that video below and click here to see Flula wax philosophical on Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Of course, these meditations on the English language aren’t the only thing that Flula Borg has gone viral with.  Earlier this year a funny music video called ‘Flula In Germany’ that he uploaded in 2008 went viral and a number of other videos on his YouTube channel have gotten lots of views as well.  Check out ‘Flula in Germany’ below and let us know what you think of this guy in the comments below!
