White House press secretary Robert Gibbs had an eventful day Friday, first taking a playful swipe at Fox News Channel, then getting playfully soaked in a dunk tank at the Congressional Luau, Aslyum.com reported.

First, during the press briefing, a reporter committed the sin of botching a cliché, asking if the deficit “keeps [President Obama] asleep at night,” instead of awake. Gibbs corrected him, and then added, “Fox is what puts him to sleep.”

Fox News failed to get its revenge when Gibbs mounted the dunk tank at the Congressional Luau, as correspondent Mike Emanuel threw wildly on all three attempts, but AP’s Ben Feller was up to the task, leaving the press secretary all wet. CBS’ Bill Plante threw a strike later, as well.
