I’m not placing much credibility in this rumor from Gizmodo…
Rumor: Barnes & Noble’s eReader Will Run Android
But, I like the idea so much, I just had to repeat it
But, let’s imagine for a moment that Barnes & Noble’s ebook reader is based on Android and that its users will be able to download and install Android apps for it. Now, that would be very interesting. And, while I’m still unwilling to buy a Kindle even at its now lower $259 price, I would be willing plunk down $300 for an ebook reader with a decent browser and the ability to install and use Android apps.
