Social-networking site Glogster rolled out new profile pages, giving users the ability to customize their pages by adding Glogster skins that can be modified with its Skin Maker Tool and adding a default Glog to every profile, through which users can express themselves with new emoticons and use detailed profile settings to edit their interests and online public profile.
Users can add favorite music, videos, photos and a Webcam feed to their Glogs. Much like Facebook, they can also comment on their friends’ Glogs, edit comments on their own Glogs and become fans of other Gloggers.
Glogster co-founder Patrik Prepsl said:
Our most loyal users, whom we call our “Commandos,” asked that we come up with a way to enhance their user profiles and we listened. Time and time again, our users say they love Glogster because they are able to express themselves while being in a social-network setting. We want to further allow our users to really show us who they are with a variety of new features. It is all a part of our unique motto to our users: Glogster is yours.
