Strike while the iron is hot: Since 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa kicked off June 11, Go USA Bid has collected more than 180,000 online signatures for its petition for the United States to host the soccer tournament in 2018 or 2022, bringing its total to more than 680,000.
Go USA Bid launched a redesigned site June 10, the day before the first games in this year’s tournament. The revamped site includes a tool that allows fans to organize World Cup viewing parties, pages for every participating country, a Twitter window on each page, and a blog keeping up with Team USA news.
Blue State Digital designed the relaunched site and provided the technology behind it.
