Free stuff can be a good deal. So, where can you find such good deals? And, what does it have to do with mobile tech? Here’s a couple of sources of free content that you can take with you on your mobile gadgets.
1. Apple iTunes provides a new selection of free songs, TV shows, and behind-the-scenes videos every Tuesday. Fire up iTunes, scroll down to the bottom and click on “Free On iTunes – See All”.
2. Not to be outdone, Amazon’s MP3 Downloads store offers a “Free Song of the Day”. Head to http://mp3.amazon.com
3. Starbucks frappuccino.com has what looks like a no-strings-attached 10 free songs mix from iTunes. This mix does not change (at least so far). It is a good mix though.
4. If you are an Audible.com subscriber, login and select the “Free for Members” item in the menu going across your screen. You’ll find free audio book chapters, interviews, and your choice of either a daily audio subscription to The New York Times or the Wall Street Journal.
5. Amazon’s Kindle Store has a large selection of free e-books (mostly in the public domain but also some recently published ones by name authors).
6. Apple’s iBookstore also has a selection of free e-books.
