Google Docs for Mobile (browsers) Gains Ability to Share. But, Does it Work?

Google refreshed the Google Docs for mobile web feature set this week.

Share your docs on the go with the improved Google Docs for mobile

Here’s what’s new:

- Sort: Sort list of documents in the mobile browser

- Narrow: Define a subset of documents to view. There are four subset types you can choose from:
1. Owned by me
2. Starred
3. Document type: Everything, text documents, spreadsheets, presentations, drawings, photos & videos
4. Collections (what most of us would think of as “folders”)

- Share, Get the link to share, Email as attachment

Everything except sharing worked when I tested these features on an iPad. Attempting to share a document I owned resulted in the error message “Sharing is not available at this time.”
