On Thursday, September 13 at 4 pm, Steven Spielberg and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are hosting a Google+ hangout to promote their new film, Lincoln. And they’re inviting a select few to join them (details below).
Set to release in December 2012, the movie follows the sixteenth President of the United States as he guides the North to victory during the Civil War.
History buffs will love this – and people confusing it with Abraham Lincoln, Vampire Hunter will be annoyed.
According to Mashable, though the concept of a live video chat with filmmakers, stars and fans is no longer new, this the first time that a film trailer has launched in a Google+ Hangout.
Here are the details from the Google+ page where you can RSVP for the event:
Google Play presents: Steven Spielberg and Joseph Gordon-Levitt in their first ever Hangout On Air where they will be exclusively premiering the trailer for their upcoming movie, Lincoln. If you want to be one of the lucky fans to join the hangout please:
-Let us know how we can contact you here http://goo.gl/ApTvq.
-Upload a short video to your YouTube channel with the #lincolnhangout tag explaining who you are, why you are interested in “Lincoln” and what you would like to ask Spielberg and Gordon-Levitt
-Reshare this G+ event
And then +Google Play will be reaching out to folks with the ‘winning’ submissions to extend invitations.
