Google has launched a beta version of Google Sync, a tool that makes it easy to sync your Gmail contacts and Google Calendar events with your iPhone or Windows Mobile device.
According to the Google Mobile Blog, once it’s set up on your phone, Sync will automatically do its thing over-the-air in the background so it doesn’t interfere with other apps you’re currently using on your phone. Sync stays connected, so you never need to manually sync contacts or events. Also, it works both ways, so whether you make an update on your phone or computer, the other device is automatically updated.
A version of Google Sync for the BlackBerry is already available.
