Escape to Paradise on Your Phone

So, I took my Droid outdoors and tried it out. You can see a brief video recording of part of my testing above. I have to say it was a thrill of sorts to finally be able to try Street View on an Android phone. However, while vertical (up and down) panning resulted in the expected change of view, side-to-side panning did not seem to change the view at all. I walked around and tried it in a couple of other spots with the same result. Do I need to pan slower? Does it only work side-to-side in certain orientations? More experimentation is on order…
