Google Poetics Finds the Poetry in Autocomplete

Sampsa Nuotio and Raisa Omaheimo have turned Google searching into an art form with the Tumblr page Google Poetics.

Every day, they turn a Google search into a poem by showing off the phrases that Google autocompletes for them. “Google writes poetry on subjects that people are truly interested in,” explains the blog. The blog features poems in nine different languages.

It’s a great blog worth checking out for anyone who has been amused or horrified by the searches that Google has suggested for them. You can even submit your own suggestion by sending a screenshot to english@googlepoetics.com. “Our aim is to publish all the poems that we like,” explains the submissions page.
