Hi ThinkMobile readers - all the great mobile apps, devices and reviews are now a part of mediabistro's SocialTimes.com. Thanks for reading!

Most of the apps we hear about these days are for the iPhone platform, so it’s nice to see something for Google’s new Android platform. The folks at the Googleplex have released My Maps Editor for Android.

The My Maps Editor allows users to “create, edit, share, and view personalized maps on your Android powered phone synchronized with the My Maps tab on Google Maps.” Users create maps using the regular web-based Google Maps application, and then login to their account through their phone to make edits and adjustments to their saved maps. The application has full support for all of the markers and annotations available in Google’s My Map application, and adds in the ability to mark your current location by accessing the phone’s GPS data, making it useful for building a map in real-time by tracking your movements.

The app is available through the Android Market for the T-Mobile G-1 phone.
