nexus5Google has released a new Nexus 5 smartphone. The Android phone has a 4.95″ screen with 1920 x 1080 display, and weighs 4.8 oz.

The new device runs Google’s new Android 4.4 KitKat operating system, which has a Voice Actions tool similar to Apple’s Siri. Users can tell the phone to text a friend, get directions, search for a YouTube video or find a photo, among other things. Here is more about it from the Google website: “You don’t need to touch the screen to get things done. When on your home screen* or in Google Now, just say “Ok Google” to launch voice search, send a text, get directions or even play a song.”

The phone runs on Snapdragon 800 with a  2.3GHz processor. It also supports 4G/LTE and Dualband Wi-Fi. The 16GB version is available for $349 and the 32GB version is available for $399.
