Google+ Update Delivers Redesign, Better ‘Communities’ Experience

social networks, social media, social apps, mobile apps, google plus, facebook, twitterThe Google+ app for Android got an update today that features a redesigned content stream and more ways for users to interact with Communities on the social network.

Google launched the Communities feature in December.

Users can now invite others to Communities and re-share posts from their own content stream to the Communities to which they belong. They can adjust the frequency of the posts the see in their content stream from individual users or Communities.

The update launches a new design for the content stream.

“I like how much more is accessible to the user at a glance for a given post,” Kaushal Modi wrote in a Google Play review of the app.

However, some users complained that the font size was too small on some devices.

The update also allows users to filter search results by “best” or “most recent” and to update their status with their location.
