Google released an update of the software developer’s kit for its Android open mobile platform, Computerworld reports.
The article cites a blog posting by developer advocate Jason Chen, who works with Google and the Open Handset Alliance, the industry group of 30+ companies that banded together to support Android. Chen says the updated SDK features a new user interface, adds some tools that let developers include layout animations in their Android apps and tweaks the geocoding and media-player coding, according to Computerworld.
