Google’s Santa Tracker Follows St. Nick On Christmas Eve

To help you follow Santa Claus’ global travels on Christmas Eve, Google has created a web and Android app that tracks his journey.

The app will plot Santa’s stops along Google Maps. Google explains how it works on the company’s blog: “While we’ve been tracking Santa since 2004 with Google Earth, this year a team of dedicated Google Maps engineers built a new route algorithm to chart Santa’s journey around the world on Christmas Eve. On his sleigh, arguably the fastest airborne vehicle in the world, Santa whips from city to city delivering presents to millions of homes.” The app launches on December 24th at this link.

For an alternative to Google, NORAD recently launched a new app that lets you track Santa’s whereabouts via GPS.
