Groupon Launches Concept Store in Hong Kong

groupon, retail, e-commerceGroupon today opened a Concept Store in Hong Kong, offering customers a place to pick up products they’ve bought through Groupon or test the products before buying them, the company announced today.

The Concept Store will “bridg[e] the gap between online and the offline world,” Groupon said in its announcement.

“We’ve found many customers prefer picking up their Groupon products opposed to delivery in Hong Kong,” explained Danny Yeung, CEO of Groupon Hong Kong.

The store sits near Hong Kong’s Time Square, occupying 4,000 square feet of floor space in some of the world’s most expensive real estate. Its exterior is marked with a large green G. The Concept Store employs 15 service representatives and provides iPads for customers to use “to browse, purchase, print and redeem their Groupon vouchers on the spot,” the company said.

The store shows Groupon’s investment in the Asian market and its continued emphasis on its Goods business.
