8 Fun Hanukkah Videos, One For Each Night

Tonight marks the first night of Hanukkah, Chanukah, Hanuka, or however you like to spell it, and to celebrate we’ve picked out eight fun Hanukkah YouTube videos—one for each night!  Watch ‘em all at once or save one for each night and watch when you light up the menorah.  Wishing everyone a very happy holiday and eight very crazy nights!

Night 1: Hanukkah Kid Blooper

The Rabbi at the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation lights the first candle of Hanukkah in this funny old news blooper.

Night 2: Hanukkah With Veronica Monica

Even if you celebrate Hanukkah every year, it’s always fun to hear the story of the Festival of Lights.  Veronica Monica reports the story of Hanukkah in this fun Sesame Street clip.

Night 3: Candlelight – The Maccabeats – Hanukkah

The Maccabeats sing ‘Hanukkah’—a festive parody of Taio Cruz’s ‘Dynamite’.  The video went viral last Hanukkah and has been viewed over 6.3 million times so far.  “I flip my latkes in the air sometimes, singing Ayy-ohhhhh, spin the Dreidel!”

Night 4: Jewish Rock of Ages – Official Hanukkah Video

Goodness, gracious, miracle of oil!  This Hanukkah song parodies popular contemporary songs, from ‘Born to be Wild’ to ‘Stayin’ Alive.’  Enjoy!

Night 5: Miracle – Matisyahu Hanukkah Song Music Video

Matisyahu says, “There are so many Christmas songs out there.  I wanted to give the Jewish kids something to be proud of.”  In ‘Miracle’ he gets into the spirit of Hanukkah in a fun, yet spiritual way.  Oh, and he loves chocolate stuff.

Night 6: The Maccabeats – Miracle – Matisyahu – Hanukkah

This year the Maccabeats decided to cover Matisyahu’s ‘Miracle’.  The video went up on December 8 and has been viewed around 240,000 times so far.

Night 7: Nefesh B’Nefesh Hanukkah Flash Mob

There’s nothing like a flash mob to celebrate the holidays.  This Hanukkah flash mob in Jerusalem has racked up over 1 million views.

Night 8: Adam Sandler – Hanukkah Song
