According to MocoNews, Harper Collins ported its Browse Inside service to the iPhone.
“People using the iPhone can visit mobile.harpercollins.com and view the first 10 pages of chapters one and two of selected books (there’s 14 in the pilot), and then click to buy the book or pre-order it from a list of retailers. The same service is available for Flash-enabled devices at harpercollins.com/browseinside. Both sites are run by LibreDigital.”
The iPhone can’t display Flash yet, hence the need for a separate site, according to the report. All in all, it’s an impressive announcement considering the cramped state of online mobile shopping on cellphones today.
