Would you want to spend $50 to join a social network where people strive to “tell people that they have $50″? That’s the circular logic over at ihave50dollars.com, a satirical social network created over the last few days to parody the successful emergence of App.net. The site parodies everything about the original app.net, and makes a bunch of jibes at Dalton Caldwell, the founder.

The site’s irreverent product speak is worth a look, especially the “words about ihave50dollars.com” section, which sources a few web celebrities who flex their ironic chops.

The site does bring up the fact that while App.net is getting a lot of buzz, is it just going to be a forum of people with something to prove? There are under 20,000 signed users, and that isn’t a critical mass on the web – and certainly not in the world of social networking. Even MySpace would laugh at that, and seriously, MySpace is losing fans faster than Chick-Fil-A.

Beatbeat found that the domain was founded only a few days ago by Max Spiker, who confirmed that it was his project. No word on why, though.
