In an effort to justify charging $5.99 per month for something that is normally free, Helio just made the YouTube upload process easier.
Any Helio subscriber that shoots a video with their cellphone can now upload it to YouTube with just two clicks. MediaPost is also reporting that YouTube has also optimized thousands of its popular videos for display on Helio devices as part of an agreement between the two companies.
“Earlier this week, South Korea’s LG Electronics was reported to have signed an agreement with YouTube to develop a mobile phone specifically designed for uploading, viewing and sharing of YouTube video clips,” according to MediaPost. LG is promising that the phone will be introduced in Europe later this year.
