Help #FWP Sufferers Shut The Full Cup

If you checked #FirstWorldProblems tweets on Twitter in the past day or so, you may have seen the video of Haitian kids (who have MUCH larger problems to worry about) reading these First World Problems tweets. If not, you can find out about it here.

The video is a (somewhat misguided) effort by an organization called WaterisLife to raise awareness of real problems and encourage folks to contribute to its cause.

And there’s also another video circulating that mocks #FWP sufferers in a way that we think you’ll enjoy. You’ll find it after the jump.

#FirstWorldProblems or #FWPs are tweets poking fun at the minor annoyances that plague modern society, like “I can’t find my cell phone charger” or “Didn’t wait long enough for my nails to dry and smudged manicure.” They’re NOT genuine problems, they’re admittedly silly complaints.

As we spoke to in this post on All Twitter, WaterisLife’s video, while great, chose to put the authors of #FWP tweets on the defensive, unfortunately.

But we’re thinking this video can turn it around. It takes a different approach, allowing #FWP folks to laugh at themselves – and who doesn’t like to do THAT?

So check it out and then head over to WATERisLIFE and consider buying a straw to help out this ill-advised, though very worthy, organization!
