5 Fun Ways To Plan A Holiday Party With YouTube

‘Tis the season for holiday parties and if you’re planning a shindig of your own this year there’s no better tool for planning your par-tay than YouTube!  We’ve put together a list of five great uses for YouTube when it comes to putting together the best holiday party ever.

Make a bumpin’ Christmas carol playlist

YouTube is chock-full of Christmas music—I’ll give a partridge in a pear tree to anyone who can give me the name of a known Christmas carol that isn’t on YouTube.  That’s why YouTube is the perfect tool for creating the ultimate holiday party playlist.

To get started, just go to the first video you’d like to add to your list, click the ‘Add to’ button and then ‘Enter new playlist name.’  From there, you can beef up your list to your heart’s content!  Just make sure you have a nice set of speakers to hook up to your computer!

And while we’re on the subject of Christmas music, enjoy this 16-minute Ultimate Christmas Medley from Brett Domino Trio.

Plan your menu

YouTube has almost as many recipe videos as it does holiday music videos, and a quick search for ‘party food’, ‘Christmas cookies’ or any food you’re looking to prepare will turn up a nice selection of recipes and tutorial videos, like the sugar cookie video below!

Practice your dance moves

I am all about learning new dance moves on YouTube—I’ve spent more time than I’d like to admit practicing shuffling and learning how to dance to dub step via YouTube tutorials.  So, if you ask me, there’s no better way to brush up on your dancing skillz for your party than watching a few YouTube videos.

Here, why not start with the No Bones Dance?!

Learn amazing party tricks to amaze your guests

You don’t want anyone stealing your thunder at the holiday shindig—it’s your party so you need to be the life of it, right?  And the life of the party you will be, because you’ll be armed with some amazing party tricks from the videos below!

Let the games begin!

And finally, when you’re done showing off all your tricks it’s time to play!  You can find a wealth of fun party games on YouTube when you do a search for ‘party games’.  But be careful—you don’t want your gaming experience to turn awkward like in the video below.
