Things are heating up at Twitter client and social-media dashboard HootSuite, as the company is set to debut an Android App, launched a new version of its iPhone app that includes Facebook integration, and is using Twitter ad network 140 Proof to add targeted ads to both apps, TechCrunch reported.
The Android and iPhone apps both allow users to manage multiple Twitter accounts, create streams for hashtags and searches, schedule messages for the future, add followers to lists and accounts, share photos, and shorten URLs, and TechCrunch added that the updated paid version of the iPhone app will offer Facebook integration and landscape view.
The ads served by 140 Proof are clearly marked as such, but they can be retweeted, according to TechCrunch. Ads are directed to specific users based on keywords included in tweets, followers, device, location, and platform.
