House Oversight Committee Launches YouTube Channel

The House Oversight Committee will become the first congressional committee to make its hearings available online, launching the HouseResource.org channel on YouTube in conjunction with the kickoff of the 112th Congress.

The effort, spearheaded by new Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) and new House Oversight Committee chairman Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), was aided by a Google Project 10^100 grant to Carl Malamud at PublicResource.org, who will work with the House on HouseResource.org.

Videos and transcripts will be uploaded, with captions auto-translated into more than 50 languages.
