As the deadline for filing 2008 taxes draws near, getting those pesky tax questions answered is as easy as sending a text message.
Venerable tax prep firm H&R Block has partnered with SMS mobile search service ChaCha for its first mobile advertising campaign.
Last year, ChaCha’s mobile answer service saw tax-related questions increase nearly 25% in the period leading up to April 15. This year, when consumers text their tax questions to ChaCha, along with their answer, they’ll receive SMS ads from H&R Block, promoting and directing users to its WAP site (m.hrblock.com) where they can learn more about H&R Block’s Free Online Tax Prep service.
