IMDB App Now Sells Movie Tickets

The Internet Movie Database has updated its iOS app and the latest version gives US users the ability to buy movie tickets directly from Fandango. The Version 3.3 update also brings with it the ability to purchase DVDs and Blu-ray through Amazon (IMDB is owned by Amazon). IMDB app users must install the Amazon mobile app to “search via Amazon Mobile” to do so.

In addition to purchasing tools, the update also includes more celebrity bios and allows users to add “coming soon” movies to their events calendar, so that they don’t miss out on upcoming flicks.

The iPhone app update also brings a few more features including one-tap access to full cast/full filmography. In addition, there is a new Watchlist flag throughout the app that users can tap to add movies to their watchlists.
