Indoor Google Maps Adds Smithsonian Museums, National Zoo, and More

Today’s news comes about a month too late for me, but if you haven’t left for vacation yet then you might want to download the Google Maps Android app.

Google has just rolled out an update which adds the floor plans for 20 US museums. They come with turn by turn walking directions to help you conduct your own tour of the museum. The new indoor maps will help you navigate from exhibit to exhibit and find points of interest along the way.

These new maps are merely the latest in a collection of over ten thousand maps that Google launched in November; you can find out more on the Google Maps website.
