Infographic: Mobile Users Spend More Time on Facebook than Google

Mobile users spend more than 8 minutes per month on Facebook, say the makers of this infographic. That’s more time than they spend on Google, Yahoo, or Microsoft.

Qwaya created this visualization of data from Facebook, Nielsen, and comScore to show just how much social media usage has grown on mobile devices.

The numbers are surprising: 75 percent of the world’s population has a mobile phone and in two years, there will be more mobile subscriptions than people.

Right now, 57 percent of Facebook users access the site on mobile devices, but this could change — the mobile app saw a 67 percent growth in the number of monthly active users in 2012 alone.

The infographic shows tips for marketers on how to reach users in their newsfeeds. Take a look.
