InfoSpace has sold its mobile services business to Motricity for $135 million in cash, meaning that the company will now be solely focused on online search, according to a MocoNews report.
Motricity already powers a lot of the online platforms that deliver applications to phones, including everything from the Palm Store to PocketGear.com and other sites. According to the report, “there’s some gossip that this may give the company enough revenues to get a decent IPO going.”
