What if the windows in your car were interactive touch screens that let your passengers engage with their surroundings on road trips?  An amazing new video from Toyota Belgium called ‘Window to the World’ simulates this vehicle concept—demonstrating what interactive passenger-side windows might look like.  With the ability to draw pictures on windows, zoom in on picturesque views, check distance, translate surrounding objects into words and more, no one will ever ask, “Are we there yet?” again!

The video, which hit YouTube earlier this month, is going viral this morning.  It has racked up over 134,500 views so far.  The video description says, “Imagine when a journey from A to B is no longer routine as your car in the near-future encourages a sense of play, exploration and learning.  This is the image engineers and designers from Toyota Motor Europe (TME) and the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) had of Toyota’s ‘Window to the World’ vehicle concept.”  That’s right—this might be more than a viral video.  TME and CIID are working on making it into a reality.

Check out the video below and let us know what you think.  I think interactive passenger-side windows might be a little bit distracting to the driver, but I’d still love to try them out!  Would you like to have interactive windows in your car?
