The number of mobile uploads to YouTube skyrocketed 400% in the six days since the release of Apple’s iPhone 3GS, TechCrunch reported.
YouTube told TechCrunch it was experiencing massive growth even before the iPhone 3GS hit the shelves, saying uploads were up 1,700% over the past six months. The video-sharing site pointed to video-enabled smartphones, an easier-to-use upload flow and simpler sharing with social-networking services such as Facebook and Twitter for the growth.
