iPhone 4 Remains Not Only the Most Popular Flickr Cameraphone, It is the Most Popular Camera There, Period

MacRumors noted that the iPhone 4S, released just last month, overtook the HTC EVO 4G, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G to become the second most popular cameraphone used to contribute photos to Flickr. Only its predecessor, the iPhone 4, remains ahead of it. Curiously, prior to the 4S’ release, the second most popular cameraphone was the iPhone 3 followed by the 3S.

iPhone 4S Becomes Second Most Popular Cameraphone on Flickr

While the iPhone 4S may overtake the 4 as the most popular cameraphone someday, the iPhone 4 not only is the most popular cameraphone by far, it is also the most popular camera of any kind used to contribute Flickr photos. The iPhone 4 overtook the Nikon D90 DSLR to take this position. Three Canon DSLR models (5D Mark II, Rebel T2i and 7D) follow the D90 in the top five cameras that contribute Flickr photos. The Canon EOS 5D Mark II does, however, appear to have a trajectory that may overtake the iPhone 4 in the near future as the 4S gains popularity at the expense of the 4.
