iPhones Get Free Myxer Ringtones

Ad-supported content site Myxer has officially added support for the iPhone to its free ringtone download service. Unfortunately for iPhone owners, because of the proprietary nature of Apple products, they can’t download content from the Myxer site right to the iPhone. Instead, they have to choose the ringtones they want, download them to their desktop, drag them into their iTunes ringtone folder and then, finally, upload a ringtone to their iPhone.

Although the iPhone support was only announced this week, Myxer quietly introduced it on April 3 with a “Download for iPhone” link on the main page for each item in the Myxer catalog and a mention by Myxer CEO Myk Willis on the company’s blog.
