ars technica spotted a new product designator in the iPhone OS 3.1 beta…
Updated plist suggests new Apple device “iProd” coming soon
The last time they saw something like this the designator (iProd0,1) turned out to be the iPhone 3GS.
September is traditionally the time of year that Apple announces new iPod models. So, it is probably not too much of a stretch to guess that it might be a new iPod touch model (with camera perhaps)? But, a larger form factor device like a tablet device has been the subject of a lot of speculation for months now. ars technica’s discussion area has a lot of speculation about some kind of personal digital trainer (Nike Plus on steroids?).
Any guesses? Any anonymous tips?
I guess we will find out in a month or so.
