palin_1-9.bmpGov. Sarah Palin sat down for a recent interview with filmmaker John Ziegler for his upcoming documentary “Media Malpractice.” In the interview, she blasts the media and specifically calls out Katie Couric and Tina Fey.

But the media has picked up the story in droves — because Ziegler released a nine-minute YouTube clip of her statements. The video has been seen nearly 700,000 times as of now (the clip is after the jump).

But was Palin unhappy with the pre-release? In a statement today, Palin’s office said the governor was “dismayed that her comments in the Ziegler interview were being taken out of context in the media ‘to create adversarial situations,’ reports the Associated Press.

In an MSNBC interview today, David Shuster told Ziegler, “Palin says your decision to post excerpts on Youtube led to misleading reports.”

“I’m sorry she feels that way, I don’t believe that’s the case,” said Ziegler. “I think what is currently posted on YouTube is fully in context and puts the governor in her exactly accurate light.”
