FunMobility has officially launched Smack Me, a music reflex game for the iPhone that comes complete with a retro 80s soundtrack. According to FunMobility CEO Adam Lavine, “Smack Me is a mix of Wii plus iPhone and a little old school arcade all wrapped into one.”
Or, in other words, it’s a snazzed-up version of Simon Says with multiple levels of play, different levels of difficulty and a robot host named Ito who challenges players to shake, pinch, freeze and lift their iPhones.
Smack Me was obviously designed to take advantage of the iPhone’s multi-touch and accelerometer. FunMobility brags that it provides a unique type of gaming experience “not possible on the Nintendo DS, Microsoft Xbox or even Sony PlayStation.”
You can see a demo of Smack Me in the video below. The game goes for $2.99 and can be downloaded from the iTunes App Store or FunMobility’s portal at funmo.com.
