It’s That Time Again – AT&T Top 10s for the Quarter

Today is a busy wireless carrier day for me. On the AT&T front, the company released its Q3 “Top 10s Lists” that ranks the top 10 apps, games, ringtones, ringback tones (Answer Tones), and over-the-air (OTA) music downloads (from Napster Mobile).

What was interesting for me is the top performer for the quarter on the apps front – AT&T Navigator. Also interesting for me is the continued interest in MobiTV, likely buoyed by increased penetration of 3G-capable devices. Despite AT&T’s solid Q3 in mobile data revenue growth, I suspect that most of this is still attributed to core messaging and mobile data packages, while mobile content monetization is probably slowing down. Interesting to see when they move the needle a bit more with on-deck mobile advertising efforts. The Top 10s are below.
