Glam Media head of client sales Joe Lagani will join iVillage Oct. 1 as senior vice president of ad sales for the NBC Universal-owned online destination for women.
At iVillage, Lagani will lead all sales efforts, overseeing display, sponsorship and content-integration revenue. He will report to iVillage executive VP Jodi Kahn and NBCU digital ad sales senior VP Peter Naylor.
Prior to Glam Media, Lagani spent three years as VP and publisher of House & Garden at Condé Nast. Before that, he worked with Meredith from 1988-2004.
Kahn said:
There is incredible momentum behind iVillage right now, and the fact that we are attracting top talent like Joe speaks volumes about the excitement behind our relaunch and new business strategy. Joe’s career in women’s and digital media makes him ideally suited to represent iVillage in the marketplace and create innovative partnerships with advertisers across both iVillage and our Women at NBCU properties.
And Lagani added:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an established and trusted consumer brand that reaps tremendous benefits from being a part of a major media and entertainment company. I am extremely excited to be joining iVillage at this pivotal moment, in the midst of a major relaunch and business transformation.
