MTV Networks vice president of integrated marketing Catherine Balsam-Schwaber joined NBC Universal-owned women’s online destination iVillage as senior VP of marketing, where she will lead all brand strategy and marketing efforts, as well as driving synergistic cross-media partnerships and developing and managing internal relationships across NBCU.
While at MTVN, Balsam-Schwaber oversaw advertiser-driven content initiatives, ranging from branded entertainment to product placement. Prior to working with the cable programmer, she held executive posts with Rock the Vote and Time Warner.
iVillage executive VP Jodi Kahn said:
Catherine has extraordinary experience building brands and creating powerful marketing partnerships. She is the perfect choice to evolve the iVillage brand positioning as the largest content-driven community for women on the Web.
