iWebTrack, whose eponymous analytics product launched earlier this year for the BlackBerry and Windows Mobile platforms, is looking for help developing the “optimal mobile application” for the iPhone.
The company was one of the first Web analytics providers to offer mobile tracking applications. It’s also one of the first to offer a public API for third-party developers.
From today through May 1, iWebTrack’s Open iWeb development community is hosting the iPhone Application Development Competition. Contestants will be asked to develop an iPhone Web Tracking application for iWebTrack using the company’s open API.
In addition to the recognition that comes from winning the competition, the winning developer will also get $5,000. The apps will be judged on ease of use, features, GUI, ease of navigation, performance and overall application speed.
