Jibbigo is a $24.95 iPhone app. If you’ve read this blog in the past, you might expect me to go on a little mini-rant about this app’s high price and muttering about relative value to other iPhone apps. This time? Well, let’s just say that if Jibbigo works as well in real life as it appears to work in the embedded video demo above, it is probably worth every penny of that $24.95.
Jibbigo Speech Translator English Spanish 1.0 (iTunes App Store)
Jibbigo can translate English to Spanish or Spanish to English by simply speaking into the iPhone’s microphone and pressing its push-to-talk switch. Its translation focus is on scenarios related to travel. So, it is probably not a true general purpose language translator. But, this certainly does not change how impressed I was after viewing its video demo.
