Blast From The Past: Johnny Carson Gets A YouTube Channel

“Heeeere’s Johnny!” Johnny Carson (1925-2005) may have stopped hosting The Tonight Show in the early 90s, but he’s still remembered as the original King of Late Night and now, thanks to YouTube, his show will live on forever.  This week an official Johnny Carson channel launched on YouTube, featuring some of the most memorable moments from the show.

The launch of the ‘Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson’ YouTube channel was announced yesterday on the YouTube blog.  YouTube Content Partnership’s Elizabeth Ferdon writes that the channel “has original Carson clips, preserved and presented in the highest quality available.  New videos will be uploaded each week and Carson’s channel will be taking your requests for which clips to upload.”

From the Johnny Carson channel, viewers will also be able to request and share playlists of their favorite Johnny Carson moments via Google Moderator.  At the top of the channel, moderator currently asks, “What’s your favorite ‘Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson’ Moment?”
