mcdonald's coupon_317.jpgLooking for ways to save more money, consumers are turning to mobile coupons. According to a new Juniper Research report, the value of mobile coupons redeemed will grow by more than 30% by 2010.

Both consumers and vendors like mobile coupons because of their deep targeting ability. Consumers can choose to receive only those coupons that meet their interests or needs, and brands finally have a way to accurately track coupon redemption and build on one-to-one relationships with their customers.

The report, “Mobile Coupons: Strategies & Forecasts 2008-2013,” forecasts more than 100 million mobile phone users around the globe will redeem mobile coupons in 2010, with significant growth coming from North America, Western Europe, the Far East and China.

It won’t all be smooth sailing, however. According to Juniper, there are some hurdles that must be overcome, including the lack of an infrastructure that would make quick and easy for consumers to redeem mobile coupons at the supermarket checkout.
