Just What The Doctor Ordered? CNN.com’s Post-Gupta Plan

The NYTimes’ Brian Stelter writes about the potential TV doctors waiting in the wings if Dr. Sanjay Gupta goes on to become the nation’s Surgeon General. Stelter writes that on CNNHealth.com, four doctors with different specialties are contributing to the new site.

CNN had planned to announce the new Web site on Jan. 7, but the news that Dr. Gupta had been offered a position in the Obama administration emerged the previous day. Suddenly, it did not make sense to put out a press release about Dr. Gupta and his new team of specialists.
