Justice Department May Bust Up AT&T’s Exclusive Deal With Apple’s iPhone
Um, ok. U.S. mobile phone carriers have had exclusive deals for certain phones for many years now. While AT&T’s exclusive deal for the iPhone has annoyed a lot of people, it certainly isn’t the first such deal.
If the Justice Department is going to investigate something, they might want to ask why it seems that all the mobile carriers seem to charge $60 per month with a 5GB bandwidth cap. Isn’t it curious that there isn’t any variation in those two areas. Yes, the service do differ in the availability of signal and speed. But, the fact that they all sell the service at the same price with the same bandwidth caps has annoyed me for a long time.
