Inspired By Jim Carrey, Kathy Griffin Pledges Her Love For Justin Bieber [Video]

Last week actor Jim Carrey made everyone feel a little awkward when he professed his love for 22-year old actress Emma Stone in a YouTube video that has amassed over 1.8 million views so far.  Though Carrey tweeted that the video was a comedy routine, it still resulted in an onslaught of criticism, with people saying that Carrey is losing his mind.  Inspired by Carrey’s bizarre video confession, comedian Kathy Griffin has jumped on the bandwagon, confessing her love to Justin Bieber in a YouTube video that is going viral this morning.

In Jim Carrey’s video, he told Stone that he thinks she’s “all the way beautiful.”  He talked about how if he was a lot younger he would marry her, how they would have “chubby little freckle-faced kids,” and how the sex would be amazing.  Kathy Griffin plays on the absurdity of Carrey’s claims in her own video message to Justin Bieber.  She says, “I was so inspired by comic giant Jim Carrey that I’ve decided to pledge my love.  So this is a message for you, Justin Bieber.”

Griffin also tells Justin Bieber that he is “all the way beautiful,” but she doesn’t get as creepy as Carrey did in his video.  She qualifies every creepy statement with a funny joke, calling attention to the fact that she is a heck of a lot older than Bieber, just as Carrey is a heck of a lot older than Stone.  She says, “You are smart and kind-hearted.  That’s kind of an assumption, err, you seem nice.  If I could, I would marry you.  Oh, that’s actually not true.  It’s messy, Justin.”

Griffin’s video message has racked up 183,000 views so far.  Because Griffin calls attention to the fact that the whole thing is a joke and isn’t as weird and creepy as Jim Carrey, she isn’t likely to draw in the millions of views that Carrey’s video has.  That being said, it’s still pretty amusing.  Check out Kathy Griffin’s video message to Justin Bieber below and let us know what you think!
