Kia announced the new Kia Soul mobile site to introduce their new model at the LA Auto Show this week. According to a company statement, Kia’s mobile WAP site aims to help attendees connect with and get more information about the Kia Soul car in real time, while on the show floor, through their cell phones.
Usablenet is powering the service, the same company that’s been behind a number of higher-profile mobile WAP offerings in recent days. It’s a fairly unconventional way to grab the attention of conference attendees; it would be great to see some actual numbers on whether people actually tune in.
The site is accessible from cell phones at www.kiasoul.com, and will also highlight artwork from ten different artists who apparently were “inspired by the Soul’s unique design.”
