Amazon Updates The Kindle App To Be More iPhone-ified

So, I took a look at the…

Kindle for iPhone 1.1 (iTunes App Store)

…update and learned that this release is a lot more significant than the point release number increase indicates. Here’s a list of the new features:

- Read in portrait or landscape
- Select alternate colors for text and background for improved reading comfort
- Tap side of screen to turn pages
- Pinch to zoom book images

This are all very welcome feature enhancements. Now I don’t feel so bad that I haven’t bought a Kindle 2 yet
